Enjoy a paddle down the sunny Thames in London in a kayak with Thames Kayaking. it’s a wonderful way to see the sights.
Bobbing about in a little inflatable kayak makes the London Eye, the Tower of London and all of London’s riverside attractions seem bigger and even more awe inspiring. (Thames Clippers are also huge from the waterline but we kept well out of their way!)
If you’re the kind of Londoner who loves seeing new things every day, you might be as nerdishly excited as I was to discover that the bank side at Bank Side says BANK SIDE on it in big letters.
The kayaks are inflatable and very stable – nobody fell in. Thames Kayaking guide Dave told us that the best way to stay dry was to perfect our paddling techniques so we didn’t splash tasty Thames water everywhere. The Thames Kayaking trips run with the tides so you’re floating downstream and have time to appreciate the view. Check out the times of trips on the Thames Kayaking website.
Who needs the gym when you can go outside and kayak in the sun? It’s exciting, enjoyable and environmentally friendly!
