If you’re interested in taking a walk around the London 2012 Olympic Park, we’ve got good news for you: there’s now a guided walk taking place at the site every day.

Following the success of their weekend walks around the Olympic Park area, London’s Blue Badge Tourist Guides are now guiding the walks 365 days a year, right up until the 2012 Games.

If you’re interested in taking part, meet at 11am at the Bromley-by-Bow Tube.

The 2012 Olympic Walk is roughly 3km (1.8 miles) long, and takes about 2 hours. Bear in mind that the tours go ahead whatever the weather, so dress appropriately! Book your place online at

And if you’ve been on a tour, let us know what you thought in the comments below!

I went on one of these walks and learnt a lot from the Blue Badge Guide. It is great to see the stadium up close and get all the information. Its a very good idea and all should book and go

I really enjoyed my guided walk on Thursday morning. I just forgot what the guide said about Market Drayton and olympics could you remind me please. I brought my Australian visitors on walk with me and in 1999 they took me for a swim in Olympic pool in Sydney. My pumpkin soup in cafe at end of walk was wonderful

  5. Elena Crompton says:

I have looked all over your website trying to find a MAP showing where your walk goes but could not find one.

    • Zoe J. Griffiths says:

      Hi Elena,

We don’t have a map of where the walks go: I imagine they might vary depending on what work is being done when. If you want more information, check out the Guided Tours of 2012 Venues website: There’s a link there for contacting a Tour Guide with questions about the walks.

      Hope this helps!

  6. Daphne Evans says:

Are you planning to have any afternoon tours by 11 June as I am organising a visit to London then. We will be approximately a dozen Rotarians . Unfortunately we are already committed in the morning. Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Daphne. Here’s the link to the company which provides the tours. As far as I can see, the tours are daily at 11am, but you might want to contact them to find if there are any tours at a time that would suit your group
