I was watching the programme on television last night and was amazed to see the picture of Muybridge at the bottom of the giant redwood as I have a photograph of almost identical composition. The picture is an original photo and not a copy. It is a large picture (about A2 size)the tree is possibly bigger than the one shown on the programme and there is a man (with beard) sitting at the bottom but looking sideways. I had never heard of Muybridge before last night, is there any chance that this may be one of his pictures or was it common for others to be taking similar pictures?
