Video: Paul O’Grady Re-opens Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens

Last week, comedian Paul O’Grady (aka Lily Savage) celebrated the completion of the £200,000 regeneration of Vauxhall Spring Gardens.

The gardens have been renamed Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, to reflect its history as a popular site of mass entertainment in the 1800s.

The regeneration project includes a new entrance on Kennington Lane, framed by two colour-changing columns; better lighting;  new paving and more trees. New all-weather sports pitches have also been introduced.
