In Pictures: A Walk Around the Olympic Park

As well as the thrilling Paralympic action, there was plenty going on around the Olympic Park when I visited for the first time yesterday. I was impressed by the architecture and landscaping, pop-up performances and art installations.

Do you have any great pictures of the Park? If so, make sure you add them to the Visit London Flickr pool.

will the park be open for visitors after the paralympics have finished

  2. Jenny says:

Not straight away. The Park will close after the Paralympic Games and part of it will re-open in July 2013, with the rest opening in spring 2014. More info here http://www.londonlegacy.co.uk/about-us/london-legacy-development-corporation

That’s a real shame. Especially for those of us who couldn’t get to the Games, for whatever reason. It would have been nice if it could have stayed open for a few months, say until the end of the year.

We wanted to visit this coming week.

  4. Paul says:

glad to see my tax money going to good use. I cant even walk around a vast amount of land in the country i live in and see and enjoy where it has all been spent. just because i couldnt get to the games shouldnt mean we should lose out. by the time next summer comes half the country will have forgotten about the games and the pavements will be covered in weeds.

  5. Caroline McCullagh says:

Is the Park open to the public now that the games have finished?
