Film London in 90 Seconds: A Very Brief History of Richmond

A Very Brief History of Richmond Green from 8th child films on Vimeo.

Film London in 90 Seconds is part of the London Boroughs Film Challenge, where locals are asked to submit short films about their council area. Yesterday we featured Brent. Today it’s Richmond Council’s winning entry for 2009.

A Very Brief History of Richmond filmmaker Octavia Hartland says, “I’ve always been very creative and went to art school to learn to be a painter, but am now more focused on filmmaking. I work in television freelance as a researcher in documentaries. This is my first film as a director, but I am already working on others. This film was inspired by Bob Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues and Silent Movies.”
