Bon Jovi took a break from their latest tour with a London RIB Voyage on the Thames last week.

We wonder if they found it Slippery When Wet…

Charlie Matheson, owner of London RIB said, “They all enjoyed themselves. It really is the best way to see London in 50 minutes!

“We have to pick up some serious speed to get out past Canary Wharf and back in such a short amount of time; powering through London as you “pull G” past Tower Bridge is exciting by anybody’s standards.

“Jon Bon Jovi said it was a seriously James Bond-like experience.”

Charlie also revealed they’ve got Rod Stewart booked for later this month, and have recently taken out Sharon Osborne, Kings of Leon, Boris Johnson and Joanna Lumley!

If you want to join the speedboat-crazy celebs, book a London RIB Voyage today. Tours start on the hour from the London Eye

The band have sold more than 120 million albums to date and performed for more than 34 million fans.

It’s clear how much Bon Jovi appreciate their fans, as they played for almost two and a half hours and seemed to genuinely love every minute of it.

The eternally young Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, and drummer Tico Torres gave spectacular performances.

Bon Jovi performed their classics including Sleep When I’m Dead, Bad Medicine and Livin’ on a Prayer as well as new material. The experience of being among so many appreciative and loyal fans while being at an incredible venue like The O2 was superb.

Bon Jovi has a summer residency at The O2 and are playing until 26 June 2010. Book tickets

Fans can peruse two floors of images, shot by “band insider” Phil Griffin including previously unpublished and private photos, as well as pics from upcoming official Bon Jovi book When We Were Beautiful. The British Music Experience will also be showing teaser screenings of the soon-to-be-released Bon Jovi documentary of the same name.

If you’ve already got Bon Jovi gig tickets, there’s an extra reason to get your ripped denim-clad self to the BME, as entry is reduced to £5 for Bon Jovi ticket holders.

For those of you who know their Duran Duran from their Japan, last Friday night in the Met Bar would have been the event for you. We time-warped back to the era of shoulder pads, mullets and power ballads for our first I Remember the 80s music quiz.

Hosted by none other than Met Bar loyalist Jonny Awsum, our eight teams of members (including Oasis’s Andy Bell) were each given a different 80s wig, from punk rocker to Tina Turner.

Music intros from one-hit wonders to cartoon theme tunes and famous faces were played in quick-fire rounds.

To buzz in, guests had to don their wig, jump up and scream “I Remember the 80s” first. One point was awarded for every correct answer, but two were deducted if the answer was wrong! Suffice to say, much chaos ensued (what can you expect with a room full of DINKIES and BOBOs)!

After an hour and a half of intense battle (and a little bit of cheating), the final bell tolled and the scores on the doors were totted up by Jonny’s glamorous Flashdance assistant, Eleanor. For the losers, a wooden spoon; for the winners, neon leg warmers and the chance to sing karaoke on stage to Bon Jovi’s Livin’ on a Prayer!

Another successful Met Bar event involving fancy dress and slightly wild behaviour (you might notice a pattern emerging!) In fact, we enjoyed it so much we have decided to host a 90s quiz next time. So dig out your combat trousers, your Spice Girls fan club badges and your yoyos, and watch this space!
