The My London Sticker Collection offers children a fun way to discover more about London’s landmarks, as well as creating a great “personalised” guide book with colourful pictures of the city.

Children can collect stickers of everything London; from famous sporting venues like Wembley Stadium and Lord’s Cricket Ground to notable Londoners such as Charles Dickens and Winston Churchill.

The book, which costs just £1 from newsagents and shops like WH Smith, also contains “money-off vouchers” and exclusive deals and discounts for a variety of family activities including West End shows, the London Dungeon and the Houses of Parliament.

London Unlocked is the first title to be released in the series called Unlocked Guides.

Pop down to the newly refurbished Museum of London this Sunday to enjoy an exciting day of family activities to celebrate the new guidebook.

There’ll be a free kids’ activity trail of the Galleries of Modern London at the Museum of London, with prizes for everyone who takes part. Other activities include:

object handling sessions

colouring in

photo opportunities with people dressed in costumes from London‘s past

the chance to buy London Unlocked at a 20% discount

London Unlocked is a unique new guidebook for kids, written with the help of 200 children. The kids involved worked on what to include, the writing style, and the design of the guidebook. They also chose the book’s brilliant tagline: “Don’t be boring, go exploring!”

Emily Kerr from Unlocked Guides says, “The key to our books’ appeal is that we don’t include something unless kids like it. They’re very different from adult guide books – for example, kids told us they wanted jokes in the books, so we included jokes. They wanted plenty of stickers, illustrations and plenty of bright colours, so we’ve added all those too.”

Sandra Hedblad from the Museum of London says, “Planning a day out for the family can be stressful. Guide books like London Unlocked, where children and adults can decide on what to do together, can help ensure a fun day out that everybody will enjoy.”
