This week we asked our Facebook fans how you like to get around London and got a huge response – more than 110 comments and counting!

Lots of you love the Tube, double decker buses are really popular, and the DLR and Thames Clippers also get the nod. Black cabs are some people’s favourite form of transport, not least due to the drivers, who you find entertaining and full of local knowledge (as well as “The Knowledge” of course).

But the most popular way to get around London is walking and since we reckon London’s a great city for exploring on foot, we’re really pleased you do too!

London Transport Museum celebrates its 30th birthday this weekend with two days of fun events for all the family.

The first 30 visitors (15 on Saturday and 15 on Sunday) will get entry to the museum for just £1.40 (the entrance price in 1980).

Plus, there’ll be:

• a 1950s Routemaster bus outside the museum, which you can climb onboard and explore
• a birthday trail for kids
• handling sessions where you can examine a Gibson ticket machine and a ticket collector’s notebook
• a chance for young artists to create their own transport posters
• competitions and giveaways
