Top Five Outdoor Cinemas in London

If you love films but don’t want to be stuck inside a multiplex on a balmy summer night, catch a flick in the great London outdoors. From rooftops to hot-tubs, barges to parks, movies are being screened in some of the city’s coolest locations. Here are a few of our favourites:

Rooftop Film Club
Live the high life by watching classic, cult and recent film releases atop some of London’s finest rooftops, from Kensington Roof Gardens to The Queen of Hoxton. Top movie picks include The Lost Boys, Moon, Hitchcock, Silver Linings, Juno and Reservoir Dogs. Hot Tub Cinema
Cinemagoers can watch their favourite movies while relaxing in a bubbling hot tub on the rooftop of creative arts venue Rockwell House. As well as boasting eye-popping views of the London skyline, tub-side table service is provided by friendly waiting staff who will keep you happy with movie-themed cocktails and BBQ food. The Floating Cinema

Nomad Cinema’s Summer Season of Open-Air Cinema
Expect a friendly-festival feel at London’s only roaming open-air cinema, which pops up at a string of beautiful locations across the city, from museums to gardens. Highlights include screenings of cult indie classics Donnie Darko and Edward Scissorhands at the eerily atmospheric Brompton Cemetery. Film4 Summer Series at Somerset House
Somerset House’s popular open-air film screenings are presented in the venue’s magnificent 18th century courtyard. Take along a picnic and enjoy an early evening DJ session before your movie starts.
