London 2012: The World in London

Two years before the start of the London 2012 Oympic Games, we embarked on an ambitious blogging project.

London’s a pretty multicultural place, maybe the most multicultural city in the world.

Knowing that in July 2012 London would be welcoming representatives from the 204 countries with National Olympic Committees, we’ve set out to find something in London that already represents each of those countries in some way.

That something can be a person, a place, an object, an activity or an event. We’re covering everything from the mainstream to the quirky, from the popular to the peculiar. But we also need your help.

We want you to share your ideas in the comments, so we build up really colourful pictures of each country’s presence in London. If you have ideas for any of the countries listed, please get in touch on editorial@visitlondon.com. Together, we can tell the world about The World in London.
